Sheila Aragão Caetano - Visual Identity
I had the honor to create the full visual identity for researcher Sheila Aragão, who was my professor during my Graphic Design degree.
I was responsible for the logos, concept, website, and media kit, ensuring everything was in perfect harmony with Sheila's roots.
Through extensive research and feedback, I delved deep into Afro-Brazilian culture to ensure the final results aligned with the expectations and the powerful meaning she envisioned for her brand.
LOGO EXPLORATION
To develop the logos, I conducted an in-depth study of Adinkra symbols:
Duafe: A wooden comb representing beauty, hygiene, and femininity. Also known as the "African comb," it symbolizes self-care, self-love, and inner balance.
Kojo Baiden: Similar to the "Eye of God," its name literally translates to "rays" (referring to the light emanating from the eye). Much like the all-seeing eye, it represents our connection to the universe and one another.
